We are very excited and proud to introduce the Amy Brown Icon Series - a series of limited edition bronze statues. The Puck was always my favorite character so I decided to give him the honours of being the first. From the idea of making a bronze figure to actually holding the real piece in your hand; well trust me, it is a long way. We had our original piece which we already made into a polyresin figure. That saved us the process of sculpting a completely new piece. So the next step was to find somebody with the ability to cast bronze. We found a company in Los Angeles that had been making fine, museum-quality bronzes since the early 70s. Without their help it would have been almost impossible to manufacture such a high quality product. So Puck started his journey. It usually takes about 4-6 weeks to go through the whole process of a bronze statue; making a mold, pouring the waxes, making the shell, burning out the waxes, melting and pouring, sandblasting and grinding and finally finishing the bronze with a patina that best shows the character of the original artwork. It was truly amazing to see Puck come alive during this process. We decided to limit the edition to only 25 pieces worldwide. Each of them comes in a beautiful wooden box along with a 11"x14" print.
